How are the repairs carried out?
We are effectively a car body shop that comes to your location and repairs your damaged vehicle!
Damaged areas are cleaned and repaired, with removed by panel beating. Minor dents, deep scratches and gouges are repaired and resurfaced to retain a smooth surface.
The area once smoothed and restored to its original contours, is then primed and colour-matched, before top-coating with a fast-drying clear coat lacquer that is dust dry in 20 minutes.
How much does it cost?
As each paint or panel damage situation is unique, the cost to repair your vehicle will depend on a few factors, such as your location, the severity of the vehicle damage, the time it would take to complete the service repair, its proximity on the vehicle, the colour of your vehicle and the expertise needed to repair your vehicle. Typically, we will be able to carry out a repair for significantly less than a car body shop, where you will obtain the benefit of SAME DAY, onsite repair service, without having to deliver your car to a workshop early in the morning and picking it up when the repairer contacts you after 7-10 days to say, it will be ready to collect.
How do you match the colour?
Typically, most vehicles have a paint code applied by the manufacturer somewhere on the vehicle. When we attend onsite, this code is entered into a computer database covering virtually every vehicle manufactured over the last 20 years. Using this database we can formulate, mix and produce a batch of colour matched paint that has been made to manufacturer specification.
Will I be able to see the difference?
We aim for our repairs to be unnoticeable to anyone oblivious to the original damage. As it is an aftermarket repair and not a replacement part, we aim for the repair to be a close as humanly possible to the original finish. A trained eye can pick out any repair if inspected at extreme levels. We aim to provide a high end repair but at a fraction of the price of taking it to a traditional car body shop.
Guarantee?
We offer a 12 month guarantee on any new paint application ( aside from any rust damage or touch in repairs ). If at any time a claim is made on the guarantee we will come out to you to remedy the issue. In order to claim under the guarantee the transaction invoice receipt number is required. The guarantee is not transferable in any way – this includes sale of the car.
How long does it take to dry?
In most instances the repainted area will be dust dry in 20 minutes after application. Within 20 minutes to an hour after application of top coat lacquer, the finish will be sufficiently hard to allow machine polishing / completion of the repair process. You may wash the car 7 – 14 days after the repair is completed and it is recommended that no sealing waxes or silicone based polishes are used for a further one month after that time.
Where do I take the car?
We come to you! All work is performed at your home or work location. All we need is a safe working area for the vehicle technician to be sited in front, behind or aside your vehicle and access to an electrical power supply.
Why are we different to other mobile car body repair services?
We pride ourselves on the quality of the work we produce and aim to provide a service that you will be able to recommend with confidence!
